Women across the UK are being given the opportunity to become a poster girl for one of the leading names in hair extensions, Hair Development. The prestigious title of HD Girl 2016 will be given to one lucky winner aged 18-45, and the poster girl will appear in all publicity such as posters and advertisements, in addition to making personal appearances at events and exhibitions.

This exciting competition is set open on June 24th, Midsummers Day, and will run until the final contestants are announced on Halloween. Judging will take place by industry experts at Hair Development who have been in the business for decades. Ladies wishing to enter can do so through social media, by posting an image of themselves to Hair Development’s Facebook page, tweeting a photo to them or tagging a selfie on Instagram. The official hashtag for the competition is #HDGirlCompetition.

Hair Development is expecting hundreds of entries over the coming months from women with a myriad of backgrounds and a varied age range. After the initial judging period is over and the entries have been whittled down, the final few contestants will be invited to HD headquarters in London where the winner will be determined.

Mark Burns, Managing Director of Hair Development said, “We are so excited to launch our HD Girl competition to find our first ever poster girl. It’s an amazing opportunity to represent a company with over 50 years’ experience in the hair industry, and it will also be great fun for the winner. We welcome entries from anyone aged 18-45 and won’t discriminate based on age or race – I’m really looking forward to seeing and judging a wide variety of beauty.”

The official prize of the competition is to become the HD Girl 2016 – but exactly what does that entail? The prize includes HD hair extensions fitted by HD’s senior stylist worth £795, at least one professional photoshoot where the images will be used for publicity across the year and a chance to make personal appearances around the UK with Hair Development’s industry exhibitions.

If you are the subject of hair envy from all your friends and family, and think you can give stars such as Cheryl Cole a run for their money on hair advertisements – this competition is for you! It’s completely free to enter, simply take a snap of yourself and tag Hair Development on social media, and you could be named HD Girl 2016.
